Arete Fly Rods

USA Made Arete Fly Rods will please the most discriminating fresh water angler.

Medium action rods, that are light in hand, extremely responsive, and recover at a very fast rate. No stiff, dead rods here.

The Arete's fast rod tip recovery allows for straight line paths, translating to more distance and accuracy when casting line. These medium action rods will quickly load for short distance sight casting, but have enough power in reserve to launch a fly to a distant target.

"Effortless" is the first word that comes to mind when someone picks up and casts a Mauser rod for the first time. Painstakingly built to the highest standards in both performance and attention to detail. We use nothing but the highest quality and best performing materials and components.

  • Rolled in the USA using some of the lightest and most sensitive graphite material available.
  • Each blank is hand sanded to perfection, to remove extra weight, while not risking damage.

  • Each Arete is fitted with an Aluminum up-locking reel seat, with a beautiful Jadewood insert.
  • Each Jadewood insert is unique to itself in shade and pattern.
  • We complete each reel seat with a Mauser logo laser etched into the Jadewood.

  • The Arete comes with a 7" reverse half-wells grip.
  • We source only the best quality cork, direct from our farmer in Portugal.
  • Our grips use 1/4" rings vs the standard 1/2 to 3/4" rings.
  • With 1/4" rings, you'll never have to worry about soft spots or large voids in your grip.

  • Each Arete comes equipped with one titanium stripping guide with a NanoLite insert.
  • The rods are outfitted with titanium REC snake guides.
  • These guides are light weight, corrosion-proof and have the ability to flex under pressure.

  • To us, attention to detail is just as paramount as performance.
  • The Arete is wrapped with translucent Spring Green wraps to compliment the Jadewood reel seat.
  • Four thin coats of epoxy are applied to each wrap to give a beautifully finished appearance.
  • Each rod is hand inscribed with a unique serial number.
